Balanced ScoreCard
The Balanced ScoreCard enables organisations to clarify their vision and strategy and translate them into action.
It provides feedback on both the internal business processes and external outcomes in order to continuously improve strategic performance and results.
The NephroCare Balanced ScoreCard is a management system and it describes and tracks the strategic direction of our organisation at any level (enterprise-wide, country-wide, single unit, etc.).
With the NephroCare Balanced ScoreCard it is possible to have a unique instrument that provides a resumé of all the information necessary to improve the quality of our centres.
The organisation is viewed in 4 perspectives that are the synthesis of numerous key performance indicators (KPIs).
This structure is based on the 4 pillars of the Quality Policy of Fresenius Medical Care: patients, employees, shareholders and community. It acknowledges our responsibility for patients, employees, shareholders and the community and expresses our commitment to specific quality objectives that will satisfy them.
These acknowledged four areas of responsibility form the four perspectives of the NephroCare Balanced ScoreCard.
The selected set of KPIs measure and track the strategic direction of all activities in our centres and prove their compliance with our Quality Policy.
Moreover, targets are given for each KPI after thorough discussions across different levels of our organisation.
The patient perspective is the most important part of the NephroCare Balanced ScoreCard and therefore has the highest weight.
