Dialysis: time for you, time for your hobbies

How do you pass the time while on dialysis? Do you watch television or enjoy your reading? Or do you use the time for a particular hobby like Michal Stýblo from Czechia?

Patients on dialysis have to spend a significant amount of time on their treatment. How can you put that time to good use? Michal Stýblo, a fellow dialysis patient, tells his story and how he succeeds in reconciling his diverse hobbies with his time on dialysis. You will learn, for example, why he has a massive telescope in his living room. His hobby contains more than just watching the sky! His pets take up another part of his time at home, as there are a lot of them. He may have only one dog, but his fishes fill three large aquariums!

It is his third major hobby which he takes with him to his dialysis appointments. He is involved in the preparation of audiobooks for people with impaired or no eyesight. Volunteers like himself do the reading. He relishes the task and describes the different steps in a lively manner. His story might give you some ideas for yourself, don’t you think? It is definitely worth a read. Meet Michal here.
