Ingredients
- 200 g wheat grains
- 200 g ground poppy seeds
- 4 tbsp. honey
- 100g sugar
- 4 drops rum flavouring
- 100g raisins
- 50g finely chopped almonds
- 50g finely chopped walnuts
- 125g cream (30% fat)

Directions
Place the wheat grains in warm water and soak overnight.
Cook the wheat grains until tender (may take up to 4 hours depending on the product).
Place the poppy seeds in boiling water; leave to soak for 15 minutes then drain the water.
In a mixing bowl, combine the poppy seeds with the honey, sugar, raisins, rum flavouring, almonds, nuts, cream and wheat grains. Mix well.
Transfer to a glass bowl and it is ready to eat!
If the mixture is too thick, add some cream or milk then stir until evenly mixed.

Attention: This traditional recipe contains a lot of potassium in the nuts and dried fruits and should therefore only be eaten in small portions - to celebrate Christmas!
